Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair






Receiver drier, replacing

Preparatory work

Draining the refrigerant and removing the components

Note! Always plug the pipes and connections when working on the climate control system.

Drain the refrigerant from the system. See Refrigerant, draining Refrigerant, Draining.
Remove the condenser, see: Condenser, replacing, B5254T2 Service and Repair.

Removal

Removing the drier filter




Remove the drier filter screw on the underside (1) and the screw at the service valve (2).
Carefully bend up the drier filter from the connection on the condenser (3) using a slotted screwdriver.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see: Tightening torque [1][2]Body and Frame.

Installing the drier filter

Note! Always plug the pipes and connections when working on the climate control system.

Note! Use new O-rings lubricated with compressor oil.

Install:
- the drier filter with the screw, 1 x M8, from below and tighten
- screw by the service valve, 1 pc.
Use: locking fluid, 1161075
and tighten.
