Brake disc rear, calibrating

Preparatory work
Remove:
- the wheel
- the mounting screws for the brake caliper holder.
Hang the brake caliper from the spring using a wire.
Install the clamp ring
Install clamp ring: 999 5419 Included in 9995418 999 5419 Included In 9995418 , included in measurement tool kit 999 5418 Measuring kit 999 5418 Measuring Kit , on the hub using the wheel nuts.
Ensure that mating surfaces on the brake disc and clamp ring are clean.
Tighten the studs lightly. Then tighten the screws crosswise. Tighten to 110 Nm.
When tightening using an impact wrench, use torque socket: 115 8147 TORQUE SOCKET 1/2" 19 MM 115 8147 Torque Socket 1/2" 19 mm.
Install the bracket included in the test equipment
Install the bracket on the mounting hole for the brake caliper.
Use the M8 screws and nuts included in kit 999 5507 SCREW SET 999 5507 Screw Set.
Note! The lower nut is specially manufactured and should be located in the bracket.
Install the dial gauge
Install the dial gauge in the bracket as illustrated.
Measure the lateral run out
Put the test gauge point against the brake disc as illustrated.
Rotate the brake disc.
Note the test gauge run-out. Brake disc lateral run-out must not exceed 0.050 mm.
If lateral run-out exceeds the value, replace the brake disc.

Finishing

Remove the test equipment
Install the caliper holder and the brake caliper. Use new screws on the caliper holder.
Tighten. See: Tightening torque Tightening Torque.
Install the wheel
