Components glass holder, replacing

Preparatory work
Remove the glass compartment. See Glass compartment parcel shelf replacing, Premier Glass Compartment Parcel Shelf Replacing.

Cover glass compartment, replacing

Removing the cover for the glass compartment





Remove:
- the 4 screws
- the adjustment tab
- the hinge plates
- the cover.

Installing the cover for the glass compartment




Insert the spring for the cover in the hole and the frame. Position the lock.

Install:
- the hinge plates
- the adjustment tab
- the 4 screws. Tighten by hand.
Adjust the cover and hinge so that the cover is correctly positioned in the frame.
Tighten the screws.

Button glass compartment, replacing

Removing the button for the glass compartment





Remove:
- 1 screw
- the button.

Install:
- the button
- 1 screw.

Spring button glass compartment, replacing

Removing the button spring for the glass compartment




Remove the button. See Removing the button for the glass compartment.
Drill out both the rivets.
Remove the spring.

Installing the button spring for the glass compartment





Install:
- the spring in the correct position
- two new rivets, P/N 973 882 with washers, P/N 955 890
- the button. See Installing the button for the glass compartment.

Finishing
Install the glass compartment. See Glass compartment parcel shelf replacing, Premier Glass Compartment Parcel Shelf Replacing.
