Front Bumper: Service and Repair

Bumper front, replacing

Removal

Removing the front bumper





Remove:
- the sidemarker lamp
- the wiper arm, if applicable.




- the trims.




- the screws, 1 on each side, in the upper edge
- the clips, 1 on each side, in the underside.
Pull out the sides so that they release from the bumper bracket.





Remove:
- the 4 screws
- the 6 clips.
Separate the connector on the left-hand side.
Remove the bumper.

Hint: This operation is easier with 2 people.

Components, replacing

Replacing the cover for the front bumper




Detach the rear section of the casing by unclipping the mounting element of the reverse of the rear section.
Replace the casing.
Press the casing, the rear section and foam rubber together.

Replacing the front side bracket





Remove:
- the 3 rivets for the bracket and fender liner. See Removing rivet




- the 3 screws.
Replace the bracket.

Install:
- the 3 screws. Tighten
- the 3 rivets for the bracket and fender liner.

Installation

Installing the front bumper
Install the bumper.

Hint: This operation is easier with 2 people.

Install:
- the connector on the left-hand side
- the 6 clips
- the 4 screws. Tighten.
Press the sides of the bumper cover into the bumper bracket.

Install:
- the clips, 1 on each side, in the underside
- the screws, 1 on each side, in the upper edge
- the trims
- the wiper arm, if applicable
- the sidemarker lamp.
