Checking the components and wiring
Check the resistance of the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve.
Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #A9 (#A9) and evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.

- Activate the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve.
A click should be heard when the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve is activated.
