Solenoid back-up (reverse) inhibitor, replacing

Preparatory work

Removing the center console

Remove center console.

Removal

Preparations for replacing the solenoid
Separate the connector.

Remove:
^ the connector (pull it straight up). Transfer the clip
^ the clip and the wiring on the left and right-hand sides.





Remove the screws for the gear selector assembly.

Removing the solenoid





Move the gear selector assembly to the right side.

Slacken off the screws. Remove the solenoid.

Installation

NOTE: For tightening torques, see: Specifications.

Installing the solenoid
Install the solenoid. Tighten the screws.





Installing the gear selector assembly

Install:





^ the 4 x M8 screws to the gear selector assembly. Tighten
^ the clip and the wiring on the left and right-hand sides.

Connect the connector and secure it in the gear selector assembly.

Finishing

Installing the center console

Install the center console.
