Boot, gear selector, replacing
Removal
Removing the gear selector knob
Remove the gear selector knob (standard) with lock function.
Or
Remove the gear selector knob (Geartronic) with lock function.

Removing the panel





Remove the panel (the pen holder) between the dashboard center console and the center console.
Pry out the panel at both ends. Use a weatherstrip tool.
Pull the panel straight out.

Removing the top panel





Press in the catches. Angle up the panel at the front edge.
Lift the panel out of the rear mountings.

Removing the boot from the top panel





Press out the 4 catches from the top panel.
Remove the boot.

Installation
Installing a new boot
Install the new boot
Press the catches for the boot into place in the top panel.

Installing the top panel





Angle the panel downwards. Press the top panel into place in the center console.
Install the panel (the pen holder) between the center console and the dashboard.

Installing the gear selector knob
Install the gear selector knob (standard) with lock function.
Or
Install the gear selector knob (Geartronic) with lock function.
