Windshield Washer Motor: Service and Repair






Washer motor, replacing

Removal

Removing the washer motor





Location of components
1. Washer motor windshield/rear windshield
2. Headlamp washer motor, high-pressure
3. Level sensor.
Remove the windshield washer reservoir. See: Windshield washer fluid reservoir, replacing Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir, Replacing
Angle the windshield washer reservoir so that the windshield washer fluid does not leak. Alternatively empty the reservoir.
Remove the hose from the motor.
Disconnect the connector from the relevant motor.
Remove the relevant motor from the reservoir.

Installation

Installing the washer motor

Note! Before installing the pump, immerse the inlet pipe in water or a soap solution to avoid compressing the rubber seal.

Install:
- the motor on the reservoir
- the connector
- the hose
- the windshield washer reservoir. See: Windshield washer fluid reservoir, replacing Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir, Replacing.
