Cigarette lighter assembly/electrical socket front, replacing

Preparatory work

Disconnecting the battery lead




Move the gear selector to its rearmost position.
Ignition off.
Disconnect the battery negative lead. See: Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting.

Removal

Removing the gear selector lever panel




Remove the gear selector lever panel, see illustration.




Remove the panel by pressing in the 4 catches.

Removing the dashboard environment panel





Caution! Do not damage the panel.

Remove:
- the 2 screws
- the dashboard environment panel by bending backward and downwards to the side
- the connectors.

Removing the cigarette lighter assembly/electrical socket front




Remove the lighter sleeve by releasing the catches using a small screwdriver. Press out the lighter sleeve so that the catches release.

Installation

Installing the units

Install:
- the lighter sleeve
- the connectors
- the dashboard environment panel
- the 2 screws
- the panel for the gear selector lever.
Press the panel into place.

Finishing

Installing the battery lead
Connect the battery negative lead. See: Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting.
