Wheel sensor rear, replacing

Preparation
Remove:
- the outer rear seats.
- the center rear seats.
Fold the carpet back (1).
Remove:
- the insulation block (2)
- the insulation block (3).
Applies only when replacing the sensor on the left-hand side
Remove:
- the 8 seat frame screws (1)
- the 8 seat frame screws (2).
Raise the rear edge of the seat frame approximately 25 mm. Position a block (3) between the frame and the transmission tunnel.
Removing the cap over the level sensor
Remove the cover (1) to replace the right-hand sensor and (2) to replace the left-hand sensor.
Removing sensor
Disconnect the connector for the relevant sensor.
Tie a section of cable or wire onto the connector. Pull the cable harness from underneath between the tank and bodywork.
Detach the cable harness from the tank.
Remove the cable/wire from the connector.
Note! Blow clean around the sensor using compressed air before removing.
Remove the mounting screws for the sensor. Pull out the sensor.
Disconnect the cable harness from the clips on the brake hose.
Remove the cable harness and sensor.
Installing sensor
Clean around the sensor seat so that when installed the sensor will be in the correct position against the pulse wheel. Use a soft brush.
Install:
- the wheel sensor (10 Nm)
- the wheel sensor wiring in the clip on the brake hose and on the tank.
Secure the new connector to the loose cable/wire.
Pull up the sensor connector between the fuel tank and the body.
Disconnect the cable / wire from the connector.
Install the cover over the level sensor. Tighten the nuts.
Connect the wiring and the connectors.
Applies only when replacing the left-hand sensor
Remove the block from under the seat frame.
Install:
- the 8 seat frame screws. Tighten to 50 Nm
- the 2 seat frame screws. Tighten to 24 Nm.
Finishing
Fold the carpet down.
Install:
- the center rear seat.
- the outer rear seat.
