Checking the function of the rheostat in the head unit / audio unit

Fault-tracing information
Check the function of the rheostat on the hazard warning flasher button by increasing and lowering the instrument lighting.

Hint: If the rheostat is not working in the hazard warning flasher button, the fault is in the head unit / audio module.

Is the rheostat for the flash warning button working?

Yes - Replacing the component

No - No Fault Found

Replacing the component
Try a new head unit / audio module.

Caution! New head unit / audio control modules are supplied without software. The head unit / audio control module must be programmed after it has been replaced.
