Checking the component
Check that the fuses for the RTI (road traffic information) and audio control module are intact. The fuses are located in the passenger compartment and the cargo area relay / fuse boxes.
Ignition on.
Measure the voltage between terminals #K1 and #K5. Voltage must be approximately 12 V.
Measure the voltage between terminals #K2 and #K5. Voltage must be approximately 12 V.
Measure the voltage between terminals #K3 and #K4. Voltage must be approximately 12 V.
Check the cable between display screen terminal #B4 and control module terminal #C4. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.
