Diagnostic functions

General
The rear electronic module (REM) is the main unit for the alarm function and contains diagnostics for the alarm function. For more information about diagnostics functions, see Design and Function, Rear Electronic Module (REM).

Reading off the alarm cause
The three latest alarm causes can be read off with this function.

Alarm cause:
- Right front door
- Left front door
- Right rear door
- Left rear door
- Hood
- Trunk lid/tailgate
- Ignition switch
- Inclination sensor module (ISM)
- Voltage drop, siren control module (SCM)
- Glass breakage sensor activated
- Rear mass movement sensor module, standard sensor for the S60, S80, V70 and XC70. Rear sensor for the XC90.
- Front mass movement sensor module. Front sensor for the XC90.
