Condition




The upper electronic module (UEM) receives information via the controller area network (CAN) indicating whether the seat belt reminder lamp should be on or off. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the upper electronic module (UEM) is notified that there is a short-circuit to ground or open-circuit in the power supply for the seat belt reminder lamp when it should be lit.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.
