Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The control modules in the car communicate with each other in a network via a standardized serial communication interface - Controller Area Network (CAN) - to exchange information. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SUM-E000 is stored if the Suspension Module (SUM) registers that there is no CAN communication.

Note! The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Substitute value
- CAN communication is disabled
- Four-C control is blocked.

Possible source
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Open-circuit in one or both signal cables
- Short-circuit to ground, voltage or each other in one or both signal cables
- Defective Suspension Module (SUM).

- General warning lamp lit
- Message in the display
- Four-C does not work.
