Checking components and wiring




- Ignition off.

Hint: Check that the car is not loaded. The car must be fully fuelled and on a flat surface. There must not be passengers or baggage in the car.

- Check the connectors for the Suspension Module (SUM) and the position sensors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation
- Check the signal cable between control module terminal #A14 and rear right position sensor terminal #4 and between control module terminal #A28 and rear left position sensor terminal #4. Check for an open-circuit
- Check that the rear right and left position sensors are correctly installed.

Hint: Click on the VCT2000 symbol to check the signal from the position sensors.

Try a new position sensor if no fault is found in the wiring.
After this fault-tracing, the control module must be calibrated according to VIDA vehicle communication. Select Pause. Then save a bookmark so that the fault-tracing can be resumed from this point.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the components, reconnect the connectors etc.
- Ignition on.
Read off the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
