Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The Suspension Module (SUM) must be calibrated after repair or after new software is downloaded. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SUM-0221 is stored if a value is incorrect when calibrating the rear position sensors.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

Note! The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Possible source
- The car is loaded or lifted from the ground
- Open-circuit in the cable for the position sensor
- Incorrectly installed position sensor
- Defective position sensor
- Internal fault in the Suspension Module (SUM).
