Checking diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
Hint: To determine whether the Suspension Module (SUM) is defective, create a fault and then read off the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector for the acceleration sensor on the front suspension. Then switch on the ignition.
Select "Continue".

- Switch off the ignition. Wait a few seconds
- Ignition on
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
Note! The Suspension Module (SUM) must be replaced if only diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SUM-0209 is stored. If there are new diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for the acceleration sensor on the front suspension, there has been a temporary write fault in the internal memory.

- Reinstall the components, reconnect the connectors etc.
- Ignition on.
Read off the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
