Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The Suspension Module (SUM) receives information about the vertical position of the rear wheels from the position sensors mounted on a bracket in the body. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SUM-0033 or SUM-0043 is stored if the control module registers that there is no signal from one of the position sensors when the ignition is switched on.
- SUM-0033: Left rear position sensor
- SUM-0043: Right rear position sensor.

Note! The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Substitute value
- Four-C control is switched off.

Possible source
- Open-circuit in the signal cable
- Open-circuit in the ground lead
- Short-circuit between the signal cable and the power supply cable
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Defective position sensor.

- Four-C does not work.
