Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The Suspension Module (SUM) receives information about the vertical position of the rear wheels from the position sensors mounted on a bracket in the body. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SUM-0031 or SUM-0041 is stored if the control module registers that the signal from one of the position sensors is too low when the ignition is switched on.
- SUM-0031: Left rear position sensor
- SUM-0041: Right rear position sensor.

Note! The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Substitute value
- Four-C control is switched off.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable from the position sensor
- Open-circuit or short-circuit to ground in the power supply to the position sensor
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Defective position sensor.

- Four-C does not work.
