Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The Suspension Module (SUM) receives information about the vertical movement of the front wheels from the acceleration sensors on the shock absorbers. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SUM-0011 or SUM-0021 is stored if the control module registers that the signal from one of the acceleration sensors is too low when the ignition is switched on.
- SUM-0011: Left front acceleration sensor
- SUM-0021: Right front acceleration sensor.

Note! The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Substitute value
- Four-C control is switched off.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable from the acceleration sensor
- Open-circuit or short-circuit to ground in the power supply to the acceleration sensor
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Defective acceleration sensor.

- General warning lamp lit
- Message in the display
- Four-C does not work.
