Communication Fault
Communication fault
Checking the component
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector from the front left front impact sensor.
Check the female and male parts of the connectors for the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) and the front impact sensor. The cable terminals must not be damaged, pressed back or oxidized.
Connect special tool951 2887 UFS test tool 951 2887 UFS Test Tool to the front impact sensor.
Check the resistance between terminal #19B (47) and #18B(46) on the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS). The resistance should be 10Kohms.
Hint: If the fault is permanent and no fault is found, replace the front impact sensor.
Remedy as necessary.
