Condition




The Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) checks the signal from the seat belt tensioner.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-009C is stored if the control module registers that the resistance in the signal cable is too high for longer than 10 seconds.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-009C can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

- None.

Possible source
- Contact resistance or an open-circuit in the signal cable between the seat belt tensioner and the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS)
- Open-circuit in the seat belt tensioner (the resistance is too high in the igniter).
