Condition




The Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) checks the signal from the seat belt tensioner.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-0098 is stored if the control module registers that the voltage in the signal cable is high for longer than 10 seconds.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-0098 can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable between the seat belt tensioner and the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS)
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the connector
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the seat belt tensioner.
