Condition




Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) is located inside, and is supplied with power by, the steering wheel module (SWM). Only the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) communicates on the controller area network (CAN).
The steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) compares the voltage with a known value from the central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) registers that the voltage differs from the known value.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on and the steering wheel angle sensor is initiated. Initiation is carried out when the steering wheel is turned more than 4.5° in any direction.

- The stability function is blocked.

Possible source
- Internal fault in the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS).

Fault symptom[s]
- Anti-spin warning lamp lit.
- General warning lamp lit.
- The stability control system does not function.
