Signal Missing






Signal missing

Checking cable and component
- Disconnect connector C from the rear electronic module (REM).

Hint: The signal loop runs from rear electronic module (REM) terminal #48 (#C8) to the glass breakage loop in the right-hand rear window, to the glass breakage loop in the left-hand rear window and then to the ground terminal.

Check connector C for the rear electronic module (REM) and the terminals for the glass breakage loop. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the glass breakage loop and the intermediate cable between rear electronic module (REM) terminal #48 (#C8) and the ground terminal. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Shut all the doors. Activate the alarm. Wait 25 seconds until the car is alarmed
- Then deactivate the alarm
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
Check if the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is intermittent.

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
