Signal Too Low






Signal too low

Checking the wiring








- Ignition off
- Disconnect connector C on the rear electronic module (REM)
- Disconnect connector D on the rear electronic module (REM).
Check the signal cable. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Take readings between:
- Rear electronic module (REM) terminal #C11 (#51) and terminal #5 on the position sensor for the Xenon lamp
- Rear electronic module (REM) terminal #D14 (#14) and gas temperature sensor terminal #1.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Fill up with gas. Check that the level of the fuel gauge changes.

Is the value within its permitted range?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
