Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-440B
Condition
The rear electronic module (REM) transmits information about the fuel level and fault status of the fuel level sensor to the central electronic module (CEM). The central electronic module (CEM) then transmits this information on to the engine control module (ECM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers a communication problem with the central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Open-circuit in the control area network (CAN) wiring
- Short-circuit between the control area network (CAN) wiring
- Internal fault in another control module in the same part of the control area network (CAN).
Fault symptom[s]
- Gauges/Fuel level not accurate/Value too low
