Signal Too High






Signal too high

Checking the components and wiring
Check the resistance of the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve.
Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #A9 (#A9) and evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Hint: Use an electrician's screwdriver with at least a 3 W bulb to determine whether there is a short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable.

Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reconnect the connectors, reinstall components etc.
- Ignition on
- Activate the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve.
A click should be heard when the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve is activated.

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
