Safety belt buckle, rear

Preparatory work

Disconnecting the battery lead




Ignition off.
Disconnect the battery negative cable. See: Battery Disconnecting

Removal

Removing buckle seatbelt rear

Remove:
- side cushion acc. to: Side pad Rear Seat
- C-pillar's lower panel acc. to: C-pillar trim panel C-Pillar Trim Panel
- sill trim acc. to: Sill edge Service and Repair.
Raise the seat cushion.




Remove the screws, 1 pc. per seatbelt buckle.




Fold the carpet back.





Remove:
- the connector, 1 pc., by the bigger part of the seat cushion (60%)




- the connectors, 2 pcs., by the smaller part of the seat cushion (40%)
Route the cable harness through the hole in the mat.
Remove the seatbelt buckle.

Installation

Installing buckle seatbelt rear
Route the cable harness for the new seatbelt buckle through the hole in the mat.

Install:
- the safety belt buckle
- screws, 1 pc. M12 per seatbelt buckle. Tighten acc. to: Tightening torque [1][2]Body and Frame.

Note! Make sure that the cable harness is not trapped between the buckle and the floor.

Install:
- connectors, 3 pcs. (1 pc. per seatbelt buckle).
Fold the carpet down.
Lower the seat cushion.

Install:
- sill trim acc. to: Sill edge Service and Repair
- C-pillar's lower panel acc. to: C-pillar trim panel C-Pillar Trim Panel
- side cushion acc. to: Side pad Rear Seat.
