Microphone, replacing

Preparatory work

Ignition off





Ignition off.

Removal

Removing the microphone

Remove:
- the front interior lighting.
- the sun visor.
- the left-hand A-post panel.
- the driver's side soundproofing panel.

Push the carpet to one side.

Remove:





- the connector
- the 2 tie straps behind the panel.

Pull the cable out between the A-post and the dashboard.

Remove:





- the 2 tie straps
- the cable from the 3 clips
- the cable from the headlining.

NOTE: Mark the location of the cable in the roof.

Installation

Installing the microphone

Install:
- the cable in the roof using tape
- the cable in the 3 clips on the A-post. Thread the cable between the A-post and dashboard the 2 tie straps
- the connector.

Fold back the carpet.

Install:
- the driver's side soundproofing panel.
- the left-hand A-post panel.
- the sun visor.
- the front interior lighting.

Finishing

Function test
Test the function.
