Transmission input speed sensor, input shaft, transaxle (TSS)

Preparatory work

Disconnecting the battery lead





Remove:
- the battery negative cable. See:
- the box for the battery.

Removal

Removing the sensors and cable harness





Note! Make a note of the routing of the cable harness.

Disconnect the cable harness connector from the transmission control module (TCM).
Clean thoroughly around the sensors. Remove the sensors and the cable harness.

Installation

Installing the sensors and cable harness





Install:
- the new sensors. Apply a little automatic transmission fluid to the O-rings for the sensors. Tighten. See Specifications. Tightening Torque
- the cable harness connector to the transmission control module (TCM).

Finishing

Installing the battery lead





Install:
- the box for the battery
- the battery negative lead. See: Battery Disconnecting
