AFFECTED VEHICLES:

DESCRIPTION:

The method to remove and replace or reinstall the brake pedal box has been updated. The method currently published in VIDA 2008B should be replaced with the method shown under SERVICE. VIDA is planned to be updated in the near future.

SERVICE:

Preparatory work:

Remove the following items:

- Steering column; see

^ 6 Suspension and Steering

^ 64 Steering

^ 641 Steering wheel, column lock, steering column, shaft

^ Steering column

- Accelerator pedal; see

^ 2 Engine with mountings and equipment

^ 27 Engine control

^ 271 Gas pedal control

^ Accelerator pedal

Note!
It is no longer necessary to remove the dashboard when replacing the brake pedal box.

After the above preparatory work is completed, continue with "Removing the brake pedal" as described in VIDA.
