Power Steering Fluid Reservoir: Service and Repair

Reservoir fluid power steering

Preparatory work

Drain the fluid reservoir. Use an oil suction device. Remove the right-hand headlamp. See Headlamp bulb Headlamp Bulb Headlamp bulb Headlamp Bulb.

Removing the fluid reservoir




Lift the reservoir until it releases from the mounting. Pull the reservoir towards the expansion tank.

Note! Place paper under the reservoir to absorb any spills.




Secure the clamp. Remove the hose.
Remove the fluid reservoir.

Installing fluid reservoir

Install:
- the hose
- the clamp
- the fluid reservoir.

Finishing

Install the right-hand headlamp. See Headlamp bulb Headlamp Bulb Headlamp bulb Headlamp Bulb.
Fill the power steering system.

Note! Use Volvo power steering fluid with part no. 1161 529 (1l).
