Positioning the hall sensor

Location Of Components, Sensors (Part 1):

There are 14 hall sensors at the locations illustrated.
Number 2 and 17 in the illustration are position sensors for the rear and front roof sections respectively.

Preparatory work

Removal

Applies to all hall sensors.

Removing the hall sensor




Remove 1 screw.

Splicing the cables
Splice the cable harness for the Hall sensors. See: Joining cables Joining Cables.

Removing/installing

Removing hall sensor no. 1
Remove the panel as described in Headerrail Trim Panel Header Rail Trim Panel.
Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (0.5 Nm).

Removing hall sensor no. 3
Remove the side panel as described in Side panel rear seat Side Panel Rear Seat.
Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (1.5 Nm).

Removing hall sensor no. 5
Remove the panel as described in Headerrail Trim Panel Header Rail Trim Panel.
Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (0.5 Nm).

Removing hall sensor no. 6




Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (0.5 Nm).

Removing hall sensor no. 7




Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (2.2 Nm).

Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (2.2 Nm).

Removing hall sensor no. 10
Remove the lock according to: Load limiter rear locking Load Limiter Rear Locking.

Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (2.2 Nm).

Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (2.2 Nm).

Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (2.2 Nm).

Removing hall sensor no. 15




Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (1.8 Nm).

Removing hall sensor no. 16




Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (1.8 Nm).

Removing hall sensor no. 18
Remove the headlining as described in Front headliner Front Headliner.
Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (1.8 Nm).

Removing hall sensor no. 19
Remove the headlining as described in Front headliner Front Headliner.
Remove the screw, 1 x M4 (1.8 Nm).

Install in the reverse order.

Caution! Check the function of the roof by closing the roof, opening it and then closing it again.
