Environmental legislation has increasingly emphasized the secure handling of refrigerant.
The type of refrigerant used in the A/C systems installed on Volvo cars is designated R134a.

Warning! R134a must not be mixed with other refrigerants and used in air conditioning systems for which another refrigerant is specified.

Note! Legislation and requirements for handling refrigerants can vary from country to country.
