DESCRIPTION: If a customer reports climate system air cycles between the defroster and floor vents and/or noise when changing distribution selection. The cause is most likely due to the cam-bracket linked to the distribution actuator or the inner defroster flap within the climate unit when it changes positions.
An improved cam bracket, climate box housing (larger tolerances), and bearings for the defroster flap were introduced in production at the applicable chassis numbers in header.
SERVICE: Check for diagnostic trouble codes and any exterior mechanical interference and take appropriate action.
Be sure the issue can not be corrected with a software (SW) download and/or a system re-calibration.
