Corrosion in PDM/DDM connector due to water ingress via side mirror (S40, V50 MY04-06)

DESCRIPTION:





Water ingress via the side mirror cable harness may cause corrosion in the DDM/PDM connector. As a result of this corrosion, functional problems related to the door functions may occur. See photo shown above.

SERVICE (S40, V50 MY04-06 ONLY):

If water ingress via the outer mirror cable harness is found, replace the cable harness. Also, carefully inspect the connector on the DDM/PDM for signs of water ingress and/or corrosion (e.g. green oxidation). If any sign of water ingress and/or corrosion is detected, replace the DDM/PDM. See VIDA:
