Note! When replacing roof panels, these shall be replaced one at a time so that the roof's link system does not lose its position.

Removal

Removing middle roof panel




Remove the headlining's hinges acc. to: Hinge headliner middle Hinge Headliner Middle.

Note! Mark all positions to facilitate installation of the roof panel.

Remove in the order shown by the figures.




Remove the pop rivets according to: Removing rivets .

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications. [1][2]Body and Frame.

Installing middle roof panel




Seal acc. to figure (4 and 5) with butyl tape, part number 116 1782, before the rubber strip is reinstalled on the roof panel. Pull out the tape so that it becomes approx. 4 mm thick.
Install in the reverse order.





Note! Reinstall the headlining after the roof has been adjusted.

Adjust the roof as described in Roof, adjusting Adjustments.
Install the headlining's hinges acc. to: Hinge headliner middle Hinge Headliner Middle.
