Front Cross-Member Bushing: Service and Repair

Bushing sub-frame front, replacing
Special tools: 999 7054, 999 7034, 999 7132, 999 7131, 999 7030, 999 7134, 999 7133, 999 7138, 999 7137

Preparatory work
Remove the wheel. Remove the sub-frame.

Removal
Removing front sub-frame bushing





Press the control arm into place. Install the hydraulic cylinder. Use: 999 7054 with: 999 7034, nut M12: 999 7132, socket: 999 7131 and drift: 999 7130. Pull the bushing out.

Removing rear sub-frame bushing





Press the control arm into place. Install the hydraulic cylinder. Use: 999 7054 with: 999 7034, nut M12: 999 7132, socket: 999 7136 and drift: 999 7135 Pull the bushing out.

Installation
Installing the front sub-frame bushing
Install the hydraulic cylinder. Use: 999 7054 with: 999 7034, nut: 999 7132, socket: 999 7134, lock ring: 7134-1 and ring: 999 7133.





Pull in the bushing until it is centered in the control arm. Pull the bushing in approximately halfway and then remove: 999 7134. Then pull the bushing in so that it bottoms out against the flange

Installing rear sub-frame bushing





Install the control arm. Use: 999 7054 with: 999 7034, nut: 999 7132, socket: 999 7138, drift: 999 7135 Lock ring: 71381 and ring: 999 7137.

Note: The bushings must be mounted with the markings in line across the length of the car.

Pull the bushing in approximately halfway and then remove: 999 7138 Then pull the bushing in so that it bottoms out against the flange.

Finishing
Installing the sub-frame
Install the sub-frame.
Install the wheel.
