Removal
Removing the emblem
Heat the emblem carefully using a hot air gun. Carefully lift one edge of the emblem.
Note! Do not damage the car paintwork.
Remove:
- the emblem
- any tape residue.
Installation
Installing the emblem
Make sure that the car is at least at room temperature (>20 °C/68 °F).
Wash the area for the emblem with a lint-free cloth and a mixture of 50% isopropanol and 50% water. Then dry and clean the area with a lint-free cloth or the like.
Caution! In order for the emblem to affix properly, the surface must be clean and free of dust and grease.
Remove the backing from the tape.
Note! Let the securing foil remain.
Guide the emblem into place using the specified measurements and press the entire emblem firmly so that the tape makes good contact with the surface.
Use the following measurements:
Volvo emblem
M1 = 16 mm
Y0 = trunk lid center
Model designation
M2 = 15 mm
M3 = 73 mm
Engine designation
Note! The measurements M4 and M6 apply for the T5 emblem. Measurements M4 and M5 apply for other engine designations.
M4 = 15 mm
M5 = 70 mm
M6 = 93 mm
Finishing
Check that the emblem's edge make contact with the surface. There must be no gaps.
Remove the securing foil.
