Entertainment System Control Module: Service and Repair

General audio player module

Preparatory work

Ignition off




Ignition off.
Remove the center console in accordance with: Center console Center Console.

Removal

Removing the media player module (IAM/MPM)





Note! Exercise caution when working with the control module so that the optic cables are not bent or stretched.

Remove the clips, x 2, by pressing the clips to the sides and down.





Remove:
- the bolts, x 2, to the control module
- the media player module (IAM/MPM) by pressing it out at the rear edge from below
- the connectors, x 3.

Installation

Installing the media player module (IAM/MPM)

Note! Check that there is no dirt in the optical connectors. The bend radius of the optic cables must not be less than 25 mm.





Install:
- the connectors, x 3
- the clips, x 2
- the media player module (IAM/MPM), insert the guide pin into the hole behind the control module
- the bolts to the control module, x 2.

Finishing

Installing the center console
Install the center console in accordance with: Center console Center Console.
