Condition




The trailer module (TRM) checks the signal in the cable to the socket for the tow hitch connector. The signal is only checked when no tow hitch connector is connected to the socket.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers that the signal in the signal cable is too high.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions 0, I, II and III.

- None.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to power supply in the signal cable or connectors between the trailer module (TRM) and the socket for the tow hitch connector.

Fault symptom[s]
- Faulty function of trailer lamps
- The information lamp is lit
- Message in the display.
