Communication Fault
Communication fault
Checking components and wiring
- Switch off the ignition. Wait 10 seconds
- Disconnect the connector from the pressure sensor in the right-hand door.
- Disconnect the connectors from the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
Caution! Do not touch the terminal pins in the supplemental restraint system module (SRS). There is a risk of static discharge. This could damage the supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
Check the connectors for the pressure sensor and the supplemental restraint system module (SRS). Check for damaged pins and terminals. Check for contact resistance.
Remedy as necessary.
Check the cable between the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the side impact sensor connector. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the cable between:
- Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) terminal #A66 and pressure sensor connector terminal #1.
- Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) terminal #A67 and pressure sensor connector terminal #2.
Remedy as necessary.
Replace the pressure sensor if no fault is detected.
