Activated Too Long

Activated too long

Checking the component

- Ignition on.
Check if the switch is sticking due to dirt or there is an obstruction preventing the switch from returning.

Note! If the SOS- or ON CALL-button is held pressed in for at least two seconds one of the services will be activated. The phone module (PHM) will then make a call to Volvo On Call Service Center. An activated ON CALL service can be cancelled by pressing the NO button twice. An activated SOS service can only be cancelled by the Volvo On Call Customer Service Center.

The keypad must be replaced if the switch does not spring back and the fault is not due to dirt or an external object.
Click on the VCT2000 symbol to check how the phone module (PHM) interprets the status of the switch.
