Condition
Hint: The diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are included in a larger fault-tracing for the symptom Starter motor not running.
The steering column lock is checked by the steering column lock module (SCL). The central electronic module (CEM) checks the status of the steering column lock. The central electronic module (CEM) controls the power supply to the steering column lock module (SCL). In order for the steering column lock to be activated, a number of criteria must be satisfied:
- The car must be stationary
- The engine must be switched off
- The key must not be in the ignition switch.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers an internal fault.
Note! The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can also be stored in the power supply in the central electronic module (CEM) has been below 8V for a certain time.
