Checking the wiring
- Ignition off.
Check the power supply cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #B10 (D10) and the steering column lock module (SCL) terminal #A2. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Remedy the cables as necessary.

- Ignition off.
If no other fault has been found, there is probably an internal fault in the steering column lock module (SCL). The control module must therefore be replaced.

- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Insert the ignition key in the ignition switch.
The steering column lock must be unlocked when the key is inserted in the ignition switch.
