Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-6C44
Condition
Hint: The diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are included in a larger fault-tracing for the symptom Starter motor not running.
The electronic steering column lock is locked when the key is removed from the ignition switch. Locking is checked by the steering column lock module (SCL). When the steering column lock is to be locked, a locking sequence is initiated from the central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers that the steering column lock is still unlocked following the completion of the locking sequence.
Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is primarily used during development and has little or no information value during fault-tracing. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is also always stored together with other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for the steering column lock module (SCL). Carry out fault-tracing for other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for the steering column lock module (SCL).
