- Press the switch for reduced alarm
A message must be displayed in the driver information module (DIM) that the reduced alarm function is activated. The indicator lamp on the switch must also be lit.
Read off whether the function is activated by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol.

- Ignition off.
Check the connection between the switch for reduced alarm and central electronic module (CEM) terminal #H19 (#33). Check for a short-circuit to ground. Also check the cable between the switch and ground. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

After carrying out the repair, the function must be checked.
Check the function of the reduced alarm. Connect the function using the switch on the lighting panel.
The message must be presented in the driver information module (DIM) display and the indicator lamp for the switch for reduced alarm.
Sit in the car with the doors closed and lock the car using the remote control. Wait for 30 seconds. Move your arms about.
The function is OK if the alarm is not triggered.
