No - Visual check of the brakes

- Ignition off
- Check for an abnormally large distance between the brake pad and the brake disc
- Check the brake system for air leaks.

Was a fault detected?

Yes - Verification

No - Replacing the hydraulic modulator

The brake control module (BCM) has registered an internal fault in the hydraulic modulator.
Remedy as necessary.

- Reconnect the connectors, components, etc.
- Ignition on
- Read off the pressure from the brake system
- Depress the brake pedal.
The brake pressure must increase with increased pedal pressure.
